2018 Annual Meeting Minutes

There were 27 members in attendance. The meeting was called to order at 10:40 am. The minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurers’ report was read. The balance in the account was $22,046.29. The report was accepted. Under Old Business Dave Dulong gave a report on the progress made toward obtaining a permit for the work needed to be done on the dam. He received a report from the DEP that they wanted the work to be done in July instead of August. We are hopeful we can get the permit to “repair the face of the dam that has eroded”. There were questions of what needs to be done and the possible cost. Dave gave some information on that. Under New Business the first item was the election of Officers. Linda Houy was re-elected President. Ann Tardif was nominated and elected Vice President. Sharyn King was re-elected Secretary and Cecile Dupris was nominated and elected to be Treasurer. Jeanne Dulong was thanked for her long and excellent service as Treasurer. In the Open Forum, discussion was held about the amount of money needed for the cost of the permit and the work to be done on the dam. Also, how to encourage the payment of outstanding dues from members. Amy Toussaint volunteered to make posters explaining the “state of the dam and the need for input and donations from the members”. Ideas and plans for the annual picnic were discussed. It was suggested that items for the raffle could be brought earlier to make that planning easier. We are thankful to Steve and Lyn Lord for volunteering to host the picnic at their home this year. There was discussion about a blue kayak that was found at the dam. So far, no one has claimed it. There was discussion reminding everyone that Wardens will be on duty during the holidays. Also discussed was that we will be testing the water quality of the pond this summer. The report of the last test done in September of 2013 was read. A motion was made, a vote was taken and the meeting was adjourned. 
