The 2017 Wadleigh Pond Association annual meeting was held on June 10th. There were less than 15 members in attendance. The minutes of the last meeting were read. The Treasurers report was given and accepted. There is currently $10,328.50 in the WPA account. Linda Houy, President, gave an explanation of the brochure that was sent out that contains information for all members.
John Houy led a discussion about the dam after an inspection by Cameron Adams of the DEP. We have his report. There are more meetings scheduled with agencies concerned with the dam to held. Any information we get will be passed on to the members.
The annual picnic will be held on August 12, beginning at noon, after the annual Boat Parade that begins on Roberts Pond at 11 am. Art and Cecile Dupuis have volunteered to host it at their home. The address is 53 Chappell Shores Rd. We thank Art and Cecile for volunteering. As always, admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12. Please bring a dish to pass, BYOB. Also, help on Friday night to set up would be greatly appreciated and needed. There will be the 50/50 Raffle, Bruins tickets, Sea Dogs tickets and the Annual Raffle Table to try your luck at. Any and all proceeds go to the preservation of the dam and the work to preserve it.
